Target English Academy we have specially designed for the children of Turkish families living in the UK. GCSE Turkish Preparation Courseaims to enable students to both maintain their ties to Turkish and to document this language at an academic level.

What is GCSE Turkish?

GCSE (General Certificate of Secondary Education) is a basic pre-university qualification exam taken by students aged 14-16 in the UK. Turkish is included in the "Modern Foreign Language" category in this system and is assessed by an official exam.

This exam, especially Pearson Edexcel and measures the following four basic language skills: Listening, Speaking, Reading, Writing

The exam is an academic document for young people learning Turkish as a second language or as a language spoken at home.

Who is it suitable for?

• Students of Turkish origin between the ages of 14-16 living in the UK
• Young people who speak Turkish at home but need to improve their academic writing and reading skills
• Students who wish to obtain additional language points for university applications (through the UCAS system)
• Young people who are forgetting Turkish or do not have enough academic foundation

This course is for those who are already familiar with Turkish but use it professionally at school level and students who want to succeed in the exam for a good time.

Course Content - 40 Hour Intensive Preparation Program

The course is taught by experienced Turkish language teachers, 4 hours per week in total. 40 hours involves an extensive preparatory process.

Lessons are held online and are based on both individual development and compliance with the exam format.

Course Topics:

Listening: Practices in exam format, vocabulary exercises

Speaking Role-plays, one-on-one interview simulations

Reading Reading academic texts, making inferences, interpreting meaning

Writing: Production with text types such as articles, letters, e-mails

Examination strategies and sample questions from previous years

We also offer our students homework tracking, practice tests and individual feedback and their level of success is monitored regularly.
