1. Purpose and Scope

This Return and Cancellation Policy sets out the rules regarding the cancellation of registration, termination, suspension of registration, and transfer of the right to study for students (the “User” or “Student”) who register for English language training services offered online by Target English Academy (“Institution”).

This policy is an integral part of the registration agreement established between the institution and the student.

2. Cancellation and Termination of Registration

The student may cancel their registration within the first 2 hours of the course starting, without giving any reason.

In this case, the STUDENT is obliged to pay the fees for the courses they have attended or for which they have been credited, as well as the cost of the textbooks, documents, or other materials provided to them free of charge. The procedure to be applied for the remaining amount is determined based on the payment method and the processes of the relevant payment institution.

No refunds will be given for cancellations made after the first 2 hours of classes. The student is responsible for the total price of the package they purchased, regardless of which stage of the education package they are in.

In the event of cancellation of registration, the lesson hours and fee calculations are made based on a currency exchange rate in effect on the date the contract was signed.

3. Cancellation of Private Lessons

In one-on-one or private lessons for up to 2 people, requests for cancellations submitted at least 24 hours before the lesson start time are considered.

In cases of cancellations reported less than 24 hours before the class start time, the relevant class is considered to have been taken, and no refund or compensation will be provided for this class.

4th Campaign Registrations and Gift Packages

The gifts offered as part of the campaign, such as courses, resources, consulting, or other gift packages, cannot be transferred and separate refunds will not be provided for these contents.

In the case of cancellation of registration, the fee is calculated based on the purchased main training package, without considering the gift packages provided as part of the campaign.

5. Record Freeze

STUDENTS who purchase more than one training package can only request the suspension of registration at the beginning of the new term and with a written application. There is no right to suspend registration in an ongoing training package.

The registration freeze period is a maximum of 6 months. If the student does not apply to the institution within 6 months from the date of registration freeze to continue their education, they accept that they have lost their right to education.

Payments remaining during the recording freeze period continue to be made on the designated payment dates. The payment obligation for the STUDENT who has not made their payments and, if applicable, the legal follow-up process continue.

In the event of a change in tuition fees, the STUDENT has the right to receive education equivalent to the number of hours of instruction paid by the STUDENT. The institution aims to start the education for the STUDENT who submits a written application to resume the education at an appropriate date and no later than 3 months.

6. Transfer of the Right to Education

The student may transfer the right to education to a third party under the same conditions, provided that he/she has paid the entire tuition fee.

The person who takes over the right to education cannot transfer that right to another person.

7. Return Method and Costs

In payments made with a credit card, the refund process is carried out as much as possible through the cancellation of the credit card transaction.

Bank commissions that cannot be refunded or cancelled during the return or cancellation process, financing costs, and taxes related to using a bank loan may be charged to the STUDENT.

8. Legal Follow-up and Disputes

If the STUDENT fails to make one of the payments he/she has committed to in a timely manner, the remaining installments may become due and legal proceedings may be initiated. In this case, the STUDENT may be liable for the unpaid education fee, applicable legal interest, execution costs, and attorney’s fees.

In the event that the educational fee is collected as a result of legal proceedings, the right of the STUDENT to receive education arises for courses for which the fee has been collected but not yet paid. This right must be used within 6 months.

The Mersin Courts and Executive Departments are competent in disputes between the parties.
